Some of these formats contain the locations of the dimples on the underside of the front panel. Useful if you have a PCB mounted component you need to line up with a hole: An LED for example. The recommended mounting hole size is 3.6mm to clear the 6-32 screw

A utility program that allows you to find a series or parallel resistor combination from the standard value E12 range to give a resistance you specify. Enter your desired value (in Ohms), the tolerance you wish the outcome to be within (say, 2%) and whether to use 2 or 3 components. The program will give you the combinations that meet those criteria. Handy for odd values in filter designs.
